Report on Circuit 2015, An Intercollegiate Electronics Fest

The Electronics Club organized its major event CIRCUIT 2015, an Annual Intercollegiate Electronics Fest on 13 August in Mini Auditorium, Block1, Christ University main campus.

There were ten colleges from Bengaluru city and a college from Hassan along with host Christ University, a total of 12 colleges participated in the electronics Fest. There were more than 150 students taking part in various events like Pot-Pourri, Quiz, Project Exhibition, Junk Art, Idea Presentation and Treasure Hunt.

The invocation prayer was played on flute by Anagha of I year PME class, accompanied by Abhijeet also from I PME, on keyboard. Welcome note was given by student representative Ananya Mishra of II year class. During the formal session, Prof. Mukund N N Coordinator, circuit 2015, introduced the circuit event to the audience and expressed his hope of taking the Electronics fest to the state level in the coming years.  Prof. Benny Sebastian, HOD of Electronics also shared his thoughts related to circuit 2015 with the students.

The fest was flagged off by an inaugural talk by Dr. Iven Jose, Associate Dean, Christ University Faculty of Engineering (CUFE). Dr. Iven Jose presented his thoughts on Electronics in a very innovative way by interacting with students rather than a power point presentation. He shared his experience with the students and encouraged them to learn electronics through hands on with the electronics. Students enjoyed his talk by participating actively in the interaction.

During valedictory session in the afternoon Prof. Benny Sebastian HOD of Electronics gave away the cash prize and certificates to the winners. Akanksha of final year PME class proposed vote of thanks. The event concluded with a short cultural programme by the students. The event was anchored by Shilpa and Darpan Shah.

Electronics Club wishes to sincerely thank the Christ University management for supporting the Fest, Deans, HOD of Electronics, Faculty members of the Dept of Electronics for their guidance, Dr. Manoj B, Dept of Physics, Prof. Santosh, Christ Junior College, Mr. Vinu Narayanan, Mr. Chinmaya, Mr. Deepak Hegde and Ms. Nileena, alumni members for judging the various events in circuit 2015.
