On 12 August 2024, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) signed an MOU with Freethought Foundation and Freethought Labs (OPC) Pvt Ltd for Phase I towards developing a high-quality large language model (LLM) in Kannada. This project will be hosted by the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Languages as a contribution to Karnataka and Kannada. The outcomes of the project will be Free and Open Source (FOSS) to encourage innovation and collaboration.
Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future. The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Two buses were utilized to transport the students to the Christ University Kengeri campus which was the venue of the Sports Day. All required arrangements were made there. On reaching the campus at 9:00 am, there was short break for tea. Ample seating arrangement and a tent was erected on the vast sporting grounds of the campus. The department of Physics and Electronics organized its annual Electronics Project exhibition on 5 March 2025, at Bangalore Central Campus. The project exhibition was organized by the final year B.Sc. PME and CME students under the guidance of the faculty members of the department. This exhibition was conducted as an experiential learning method for the students to help them with their skill development through hands on activity. This is to bring out some creative, innovative ideas in the field of electronics design, IoT systems from the students that can make them ready for employment as well as create future entrepreneurs. This exhibition was also a part of SDG week celebrations of the University. The exhibition activity was aligned with sustainable development goals, SDG4: Quality Education and SDG9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
