National Level Two Day Exhibition - Department of History

Department of History in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India, Bengaluru Circle organised a national level two day exhibition on 25th-26th November, 2013 in Gourmet Basement, Central Block as part of  World Heritage Week. 

The exhibition was titled as Archaeological Findings and Monuments.


The exhibition focussed on displaying original pictures of various monuments in historical places such as Badami ,Pattadakal , Aihole , Madikeri,  Hampi which included Mahanavami Dibba, Vijaya Vithala Temple, Lotus Mahal, Elephant’s Stable to name a few. 

It also showed some of the historically relevant places before, during and after restoration such as Hazaara Ram Temple, Queen’s Bath, etc.

All the photos displayed were original prints . 

The members of Archaeological Survey of India also displayed some of their original publications on Hampi, Sanchi Stupa, Ashoka Pillar.
