A Report on Management Development Programme on Leadership for the officials of Coconut Federations

Department of Management Studies conducted the second session of Management Development Programme on Leadership for the officials of Coconut Federations.

The session was inaugurated with the welcome speech by HOD, Dr. Jain Mathew, who emphasised the importance of such a programme for the all round development of farmers, followed by the speech by the Deputy Director of Coconut Development Board.  Vote of Thanks was proposed by the coordinator of the programme, Dr.A Sridharan.

The sessions were conducted by Dr. Jyothi Kumar, Dr.Jain Mathew, Prof. Balu, L, Dr. Jayasankara Reddy, Dr. Padma Srinivasan and Prof. Suresh Pai..

The officials very well appreciated the efforts of Christ University and expressed their opinion that Christ University can visit their villages and conduct such programmes at the village level itself

The programme ended on 20th Dec. '14 with the valedictory function, when Prof. Suresh Pai distributed the certificates to the officials and student volunteers.

Department of History and   Kannada,Christ University in collaboration with Karnataka Numismatics Society , Bangalore organized a one day   exhibition, workshop and lecture on numismatics” on 12 July,2014 in Gourmet extension and Assembly Hall ,Block -2 from 9 am to 3pm. The programme was divided into two slots, exhibition and lecture session. Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 - SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future.   The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Two buses were utilized to transport the students to the Christ University Kengeri campus which was the venue of the Sports Day. All required arrangements were made there. On reaching the campus at 9:00 am, there was short break for tea. Ample seating arrangement and a tent was erected on the vast sporting grounds of the campus. The event that has given the opportunity to the teacher trainees to display and demonstrate their teaching aids and teaching models was conducted on 10 th January,   2014.   The event was inaugurated by Prof. Mallika Krishnaswami, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. The Dean addressed the student teachers with an inspiring talk.
