Report on Green Wheeling

The Green Army of the Department of Life Sciences at Christ University Bengalutru, organized Green Wheeling, a Cycle ride in the periphery of Bannerghatta National Park on 26th February 2017, Sunday. 

 The event was organized with a view to sensitize the young generation on eco-friendly approach. The motto of the event was “Life is like cycling; In order to balance, you have to pedal through”. Dr Antony P U, Professor, Department of Life Sciences at Christ University, Bengaluru was the chief organizer.



The event kicked off at 05.45 AM from the main campus of Christ University. The Dean of Science Dr Surendra Kulkarni flagged off the cycling event at 5.45 am on February 26, 2017. The route followed was Christ University Main Campus, Hosur Road – Bannerghata National Park – Kaggalipura – Jayadeva Circle- Christ University. About 40 participants , including students and faculty actively and enthusiastically cycled through the roads for Bengaluru for this cause.

Department of History and   Kannada,Christ University in collaboration with Karnataka Numismatics Society , Bangalore organized a one day   exhibition, workshop and lecture on numismatics” on 12 July,2014 in Gourmet extension and Assembly Hall ,Block -2 from 9 am to 3pm. The programme was divided into two slots, exhibition and lecture session. The programme began with an   inauguration of the exhibition in gourmet basement at 9.30 by Mahesh Jambulingam , President , Karnataka Numismatic Society and Dr.John Joseph Kennedy, Dean, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. Faculty members along with prominent members   from Numismatics Society witnessed the session.     The next slot of the programme was held in Assembly Hall, block 2, from 9.45 am to 11 am. Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 - SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future.   The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Two buses were utilized to transport the students to the Christ University Kengeri campus which was the venue of the Sports Day. All required arrangements were made there. On reaching the campus at 9:00 am, there was short break for tea. Ample seating arrangement and a tent was erected on the vast sporting grounds of the campus. REPORT ON DISPLAY OF TEACHING AIDS - SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

The event that has given the opportunity to the teacher trainees to display and demonstrate their teaching aids and teaching models was conducted on 10 th January,   2014.   The event was inaugurated by Prof. Mallika Krishnaswami, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. The Dean addressed the student teachers with an inspiring talk.
