EXODUS - 2017

Colleges and participants from around the country, eight mega events and two-days of gala celebration! Exodus elucidated all the elements which made it an ostentatious carnival. Exodus is the National Level, Inter-Collegiate Travel and Tourism Fest, organised by the students of MBA (Tourism and Travel Management) of the School of Business Studies and Social Sciences, Christ University, Bengaluru.
Like every year, Exodus on February 17 and 18, 2017, showcased fresh talents and set new benchmarks. Being the first National Level, Inter-Collegiate Fest to be organized in the Christ University Bannerghatta Road Campus, the fest marked its inauguration in phenomenal grandeur and beautiful tradition on February 17 by Dr B Venugopal, Regional Director, Center for Environment Education – South India. Dr Venugopal shared his valuable experience and motivated the students with his inspiring words. The Inauguration was also graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Christ University, Rev Fr (Dr) Thomas C Mathew and Dr Jyothi Kumar, Associate Dean, Christ University – School of Business Studies and Social Sciences.
Exodus unfurled with the release of the exclusive bi-annual magazines, Travelogue and Frequent Flyer. Months of hard-work, perseverance and research put together by the students of MBA and BBA (Tourism and Travel Management) initiated the inception of Travelogue and Frequent Flyer respectively. Exodus further flaunted a plethora of fascinating events that nurtured the talents of the participants’ multi-fold. Brainstorm, Mastermind, Mutus, Cultural Forum; to name a few were the focal points of the fest. The fest not only challenged the competing proficiency of the participants but also honed their leadership skills. The major highlight of the fest was Travelitez, the Travel and Tourism Quiz organized exclusively for the corporate members of the Travel and Tourism Industry. Travelitez had already earned its place in the Limca Book of Records, for being a one of its kind. The event was hosted by Dr Cheriyan Alexander, Associate Professor and Head – Department of English, St Joseph’s College, Bengaluru on February 18 in the Bannerghatta Road Campus. The winners of Travelitez took home a Two Days / One Night Package at the Castillo de Woods Resort in Munnar, Kerala.
The Overall Winner of Exodus 2017 was Marian College, Kuttikkanam, Kerala. They stood ahead of the other Fourteen Teams in all the events and garnered the Champion’s Trophy to their credit. The Exodus Trophy was presented to the Winners by Mr Mitesh Narula, General Manager, St Mark’s Hotel, Bengaluru.
Exodus 2017 was a great show put up by the combined efforts of both participants and the hosts in the best possible spirit. Thus, drew the curtains on Exodus 2017, bearing a promise to be back again next year with equal passion and dedication!
