Report on E – Junction 2017 Organised by Department of Electronics

Electronics Club had organized E-Junction, an Inter Class Electronics Fest on 7th February 2017 (Tuesday) in the Campus View, Central Block, Main Campus, Christ University.



The programme started with an invocation song by J Cyril, Bhavya Sharma, A Priyanka, Sona S and Jennifer D of first year B.Sc. Prof. Mukund N N, Coordinator of Electronics Club activities for the academic year 2016-17, introduced the event and the guest speakers to the audience. In this 6th edition of E-junction, two alumni of the department were invited as guest speakers.
Mr. Karthik G, MD, SMAC Communication Systems Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru, studied in 2001-2004 B.Sc. batch. He shared his experience of being a student here and then he explained various aspects of a professional career after UG programme like B.Sc. He also explained the dos and don’ts of the entrepreneurship. His informative speech motivated the students and they enjoyed interaction with him. He also announced that his company would positively consider sponsoring a few application oriented electronics projects.
Another speaker was Mr. Sai Siddarth, presently working in Akamai Technology, Bengaluru. He was a student of the 2001-2014 B.Sc. batch. He shared his experience with the Department of Electronics, his PG experience (M.Sc. in Electronics at VIT, Vellore) and also his professional experience. He gave a few tips on what to look for in a PG programme or the institute offering the programme. Students interacted with both the speakers during the lecture as well as after the lecture.

There was also a project demo by Neeraj, Edwin and Peilin of 2nd year B.Sc. which attracted the attention of the audience. 


This year’s E-Junction had four events related to electronics, namely, Chart making (Theme: Logic), Treasure Hunt, Pot Pourri and Quiz. All the events were organized by students from different classes under the leadership of Dhanusha and Karthikeyan of 2nd year B. Sc. The enthusiastic participation of students made the event successful.
Prof. Benny Sebastian, Head of the Department of Electronics addressed the students and distributed the certificates to the prize winners as well as to the organizing committee members. The event concluded with three dance performances by the students. Dhanusha of 2nd year B.Sc. proposed the vote of thanks.

All the faculty members of the Department of Electronics were present throughout the program and encouraged the students.
