Milestone Achievement: CHRIST (Deemed-to-be University) Surpasses 1000 Licentiates in Insurance Education

CHRIST (Deemed-to-be University) is proud to announce a significant achievement in insurance education. Surpassing a landmark milestone, we have now exceeded 1000 Licentiates in insurance education, a feat achieved in collaboration with the esteemed Insurance Institute of India.


This achievement, known as "Sahasra Bimayaan," symbolises our unwavering dedication to excellence in insurance education. As the sole university in India to reach this remarkable milestone, we are a testament to the power of collaborative learning and an exceptional curriculum.


The ceremony celebrating this milestone was graced by esteemed guests from the insurance industry. We were privileged to host Shri S N Satpathy, Secretary General of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai, along with Shri V Sathyakumar, Chair Professor (Financial Inclusion and Social Security) at the National Insurance Academy, Pune, and Shri Ravi Seshadri T, Global Consultant and Chief Mentor.

CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and University of Louisiana Monroe Ink Memorandum of Understanding

In a significant stride towards enhancing global academic collaboration, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bangalore and the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) USA have sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to foster academic and research cooperation for the mutual benefit of their students and faculty members.


The primary focus of this MOU lies in the domain of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). Both universities aim to facilitate academic exchanges, research endeavours, and student internships in this specialized field by joining forces. Among the critical areas of cooperation outlined in the MOU are faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and the exploration of additional collaborative programs in MFT.

Moreover, the MOU paves the way for establishing a concentration in MFT at ULM, with degrees conferred by CHRIST (Deemed to be University). This strategic partnership not only enriches the academic offerings of both institutions but also opens avenues for students to gain international exposure and expertise in a rapidly evolving discipline.

Strengthening Business Relations: MOU Between IETO and CHRIST (Deemed to be University)

In a significant step towards fostering collaboration and mutual growth, the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) and CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, have formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU lays the groundwork for enhancing business relations and promoting reciprocal cooperation between the two entities.

One of the critical aspects of this partnership is the exchange of students, faculty, and courses, which will facilitate a diverse learning experience and promote cross-cultural understanding. Additionally, both parties will work together to organise trade delegations, expert visits, and academic conferences, further enriching their members' educational and professional experiences.


The MOU also emphasises the importance of sharing economic and market information, fostering joint research initiatives, and exchanging academia-related publications. This collaboration will enhance both organisations' academic offerings and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to economic challenges.

The MOU clearly outlines financial responsibilities, with both parties committing to bear the costs associated with their collaborative activities. Regular reviews and amendments to the MOU will ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in achieving their shared goals. Furthermore, the MOU highlights the importance of safeguarding the interests of both parties by protecting intellectual property and ensuring confidentiality, as spelt out in the agreement.

Report on Career Guidance talk

 The department of Physics and Electronics organized a Career guidance talk as an initiative by the department IQAC for BSc and MSc students on 10 February 2024. It was a part of industry academia interaction to strengthen the curriculum and help students in their career progression.


 Dr. Mukund N Naragund introduced the speaker and delivered a welcome speech.

 The resource person was Mr. Sojan James, Acsia Technologies, Bengaluru. He spoke on a theme “the space for electronics education in today’s tech-driven world”. He initially spoke about the current trends in embedded systems especially in automotive electronics sector. With his vast industrial experience, he could share a lot of tips for the students to really do hands on projects with microcontrollers and related devices. In his second part of the talk, he explained about various domains where there is a need for manpower specially in the electric vehicle power management and sensor network fields that can be explored by the students after their graduation. He stressed upon learning at least one computer programming language to begin with in undergraduate studies itself.  Apart from theses industrial fields, he also encouraged students to get into the exciting world of HAM radio, RUST programming, he also assured his guidance to the interested students.

After his talk there was a very elaborate interaction during which students asked a lot of questions related to the subject as well as related to the higher studies, internships and jobs.  Mr. Sojan answered to all the queries with a lot of enthusiasm and a lively interaction.



A total of about 150+ students attended the session and the prime takeaway for the students from the resource person was not to depend too much on AI tools, rather to focus on building individual competencies in their chosen field or subjects and working with real electronic hardware components. Students enjoyed the session. It was a fruitful session with some insights into opportunities and challenges in the domain of practical electronics.
Ms. Aadika Gupta of final year BSc. PME proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Benny Sebastian, event coordinator presented a memento as a token of appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Sojan James. Dr. Manoj B, head of the department of Physics and Electronics and all the faculty members of the department were present during the session.
