CHRIST University Collaborates with Freethought for Kannada LLM Development

On 12 August 2024, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) signed an MOU with Freethought Foundation and Freethought Labs (OPC) Pvt Ltd for Phase I towards developing a high-quality large language model (LLM) in Kannada. This project will be hosted by the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Languages as a contribution to Karnataka and Kannada. The outcomes of the project will be Free and Open Source (FOSS) to encourage innovation and collaboration.

Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future.   The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Department of History and   Kannada,Christ University in collaboration with Karnataka Numismatics Society , Bangalore organized a one day   exhibition, workshop and lecture on numismatics” on 12 July,2014 in Gourmet extension and Assembly Hall ,Block -2 from 9 am to 3pm. The programme was divided into two slots, exhibition and lecture session. The programme began with an   inauguration of the exhibition in gourmet basement at 9.30 by Mahesh Jambulingam , President , Karnataka Numismatic Society and Dr.John Joseph Kennedy, Dean, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University.
