Report on the Guest Lecture – “GUIDELINES TO QUICKLY FIND A SUITABLE JOB AND CAREER IN LIFE SCIENCES” Organized by Life Science Association

The Life Sciences Association organised a guest lecture on November 29, 2017 which focussed on helping the students find a clearer course of action after their graduation. The resource person was Dr Kshitish Acharya, Founder Director, Shodhaka Life Sciences Pvt Ltd. The programme was organised in the Skyview, Central block in the Main Campus of Christ University. Dr Kshitish spoke about the dilemmas faced by college students while opting for their career options and then gave a detailed talk about the various options that they can pursue. He introduced to students the concept of ‘SOTS-JSA’ an online test which is designed to help students figure out what their strengths are and where they stand as compared to their colleague. The students had a lot of queries on different possibilities of jobs and careers after the graduation or post-graduation in different fields of Life Sciences.The event ended with Dr Suma. S, Life Science Association Coordinator acknowledging his efforts for helping the students planning their course of actions.

Department of History and   Kannada,Christ University in collaboration with Karnataka Numismatics Society , Bangalore organized a one day   exhibition, workshop and lecture on numismatics” on 12 July,2014 in Gourmet extension and Assembly Hall ,Block -2 from 9 am to 3pm. The programme was divided into two slots, exhibition and lecture session. The programme began with an   inauguration of the exhibition in gourmet basement at 9.30 by Mahesh Jambulingam , President , Karnataka Numismatic Society and Dr.John Joseph Kennedy, Dean, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 - SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future.   The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Two buses were utilized to transport the students to the Christ University Kengeri campus which was the venue of the Sports Day. All required arrangements were made there. On reaching the campus at 9:00 am, there was short break for tea. Ample seating arrangement and a tent was erected on the vast sporting grounds of the campus. REPORT ON DISPLAY OF TEACHING AIDS - SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

The event that has given the opportunity to the teacher trainees to display and demonstrate their teaching aids and teaching models was conducted on 10 th January,   2014.   The event was inaugurated by Prof. Mallika Krishnaswami, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. The Dean addressed the student teachers with an inspiring talk.
