Department of History and Kannada,Christ University in collaboration with Karnataka Numismatics Society , Bangalore organized a one day exhibition, workshop and lecture on numismatics” on 12 July,2014 in Gourmet extension and Assembly Hall ,Block -2 from 9 am to 3pm. The programme was divided into two slots, exhibition and lecture session. The programme began with an inauguration of the exhibition in gourmet basement at 9.30 by Mahesh Jambulingam , President , Karnataka Numismatic Society and Dr.John Joseph Kennedy, Dean, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. Faculty members along with prominent members from Numismatics Society witnessed the session. The next slot of the programme was held in Assembly Hall, block 2, from 9.45 am to 11 am. The session was presided by Dr. John Joseph Kennedy where Mahesh Jambulingam's lecture on numismatics included origin and preservation of coins, coins of various dynasties-

Science Association, Christ University, had organized an Alumni Panel
Discussion on “Arena of Higher Studies in Life Sciences” on January 5, 2018.
The panel members were all alumni of Christ University Life Science
departmentcurrently doing research in reputed Universities in India and abroad.
The resource persons included Shailaja Seetharaman of Pasteur Institute, Paris,
Aparajitha Chatterjee of University College London, UK, Drupad P Durgaiah of
Australian National University, Canberra and Arundhati Kavoor of IIT, Bombay.
The discussion was primarily centered on the kind of pedagogy and research in
such Universities and the modalities of application processes. The moderator of
the panel discussion was Dr Suma S, Coordinator of the Life Science Association.
The students were highly inquisitive and posed a lot of queries all of which
were enthusiastically answered by the resource persons. This event has helped in building a good network between the alumni and
the current batch of students.
