Report on Student Participation in Science Exhibition 2020 Organised by Department of Physics and Electronics


The School of Sciences had organized a Science Exhibition as a part of National day celebrations, on 28 February 2020 in the pathway of Bangalore central Campus. The students from our department actively participated in the event.
There were three categories of teams participated from the Department of Physics and Electronics, namely UG1, UG2 and PG teams. A total of 22 teams exhibited their science and technology based working projects during the exhibition. The Dean of Science, Dr. George Thomas, Head of the Department Dr. K T Paul, Head (Electronics), Prof. Benny Sebastian and all the faculty members of the department visited the stalls and interacted with the students. The stalls attracted visitors from other classes and deaneries. It was a successful event as the students explained the principle and applications of their models and circuits and enjoyed being participants of the event.
The judges for the event were the lecturers from Christ Junior College, Mr. Arvind and Mr. Satish, who went through all the projects of the department and gave the final results. The prize distribution ceremony for the same was held on Monday, 2 March in the room no. 101, block1. Dr. K T Paul, Head of the department distributed the prizes to the students and encouraged them.
Prof. Mukund N Naragund coordinated the activities of all the teams for the science exhibition 2020 with the support from other faculty members. The department wishes to thank the management and School of Sciences and Dean for providing an opportunity for the students to showcase their innovative ideas and projects.
