Our Legacy of Excellence

CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has its roots traced back to the profound visions of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara. It was established in 1969, emerging from the seeds of his educational ideals and flourished under the nurturing ethos of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation. In 2008, the University attained Deemed-to-be University status.

CHRIST is a shining example of holistic education driven by a harmonious blend of faith and knowledge. The commitment of the CMI congregation to enriching both minds and souls provided the fertile ground for establishing this academic haven. CHRIST University is a beacon of educational excellence, reflecting the enduring legacy of the CMI congregation's tireless efforts in shaping minds and transforming lives. CHRIST University's heart lies in nurturing intellectual growth and spiritual and ethical development. This commitment is deeply ingrained in the University's ethos, permeating every aspect of its educational approach. CHRIST University endeavours to prepare students for successful careers and lives of purpose and service to society through a synthesis of academic rigour and moral guidance. In essence, CHRIST University is a testament to the profound impact of visionary leadership and unwavering dedication. Its history is a testament to the enduring legacy of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara's ideals and the transformative power of education guided by faith and enlightenment.
