Report on Electronics Project Exhibition 2024

 The annual Electronics project exhibition was organized by the department of Physics and Electronics in the Bangalore central campus on 3 April 2024. The prime objective of the exhibition was to provide the hands-on experience for the students to enable them to discuss new project ideas, plan for the project work, design their electronic circuit and develop a model for their electronics project. This was a part of experiential learning method incorporated in the B.Sc. Electronics curriculum.

The final year B.Sc. (CME and PME) students participated in the exhibition with their respective project and charts. There were about 90 students from both the classes with 32 projects who took part in the activity. The following were the major projects; Advanced model of biogas digester, IoT based smart agriculture system, hand gestured wheelchair for disabled person, Multipurpose Bluetooth Robot, Automatic grass cutting Robot, Smart cradle using IoT, Smart dog harness, Smart tracker with Android sync, Smart shopping trolley, Automated electronic component testing and analysis, Smart helmet for mine workers, Real time air quality monitoring system, E-Box, Fire fighting robot, Voice controlled home automation, Lase security system, etc. The project themes were taken from various domains of day today life and socially relevant problems. The prototypes developed by the students fulfilled the objective of the project work catering to the local and regional needs.

Dr. Rev. Fr. Varghese K J, the Chief finance officer, Dr. Johny Joseph, Registrar (Academics), Dr. T V Joseph, Dean, School of Sciences, Dr. Manoj B, Head, department of Physics and Electronics, faculty members from various departments, students from all the junior classes visited the exhibition stalls and interacted with the participating teams.



The outcome of the exhibition was the great learning experience of doing what is learnt in theory classes and implementing as the society relevant and industry-oriented solutions. The participants of the exhibition were excited explaining the project work carried out by them to the officials of the University, teachers and to their fellow students. It was a fruitful activity conducted for the students by the students with the support from university and the department of Physics and Electronics. The students were issued with a participation e-certificate after collecting the feedback responses from the students. Dr. Mukund N Naragund, coordinated the project exhibition with the help of colleagues from the department.
