National Level IT Exhibition SOFTEX-2014 - Department of Computer Science.

A great man once said, “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

This saying is apt for the journey of Softex-2014. Nothing tastes better than success. The amount of time and energy the students spent towards this event helped make it a success and by-far the best Softex version yet.
Softex-14 is a national level IT Exhibition for young scholars to exhibit their innovative talents and broaden the spectrum of knowledge. It provided a platform to share knowledge in the emerging technologies.

The preparations started early in February. The faculty coordinators were Ms. Chandra J and Ms. Kavitha R and the student coordinators were Akshay Gupta, Varsha, Nandita Gupta, Ashwin Agarwal, Rachita, PremChugh and AakritiVerma.

This year, Softex was held on 26th February, 2014 and was inaugurated by our very own respected Registrar, Dr. Anil Joseph Pinto. He emphasized the importance of peer education and interactive learning. He interacted with the participants and found their efforts creative and innovative.

This version of Softex saw a wide-variety of inventive and state-of-the-art projects from various colleges such as Kristu Jayanti College, Jyoti Nivas College, Silicon City College, Maharani Laxmi Ammani College for Women, Oxford College of Science and many more. The projects ranged from android applications to full-fledged websites.

The major achievers of the event were:

The projects were evaluated and judged by Mr. Bharat Krishna Mohan and Mr. Ashish from Redhat. Mr. Yashwanth B.M. from Mobstac and Mr. Ravindra Kumar from SwitchHit.They were impressed by the project ideas, and inspired us to have a dream and work to make that dream a reality.

The event proved to be a success in bringing out a healthy competition among the students of various institutions, helping students interact and exchanging ideas for future developments.
