Visit of Mr. Ramesh Phatak, Vice President, R&D, Schneider Electric India to Electrical Engineering Department at Kengeri Campus of Christ University on 12th November.
 
Mr. Phatak interacted with the staff members on how industry can be involved in academics. 

A brief introduction of the University and its mission and vision were also presented to Mr. Phatak.

Mr. Phatak addressed the students of the Electrical and Electronics and Electronics and Communication disciplines on ‘Innovation and Technology Trends’.

He stressed upon the importance of innovation in today’s scenario, its importance in building business opportunities and the importance of knowledge of multiple disciplines in innovating. He also explained about some of the recent trends in technological innovations.
 

Mr. Phatak was accompanied by Mr. Srinivas M.R., Manager-Power Quality Solutions and Edison Expert at Schneider Electric, India.

Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future.   The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Two buses were utilized to transport the students to the Christ University Kengeri campus which was the venue of the Sports Day. All required arrangements were made there. REPORT ON DISPLAY OF TEACHING AIDS - SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

The event that has given the opportunity to the teacher trainees to display and demonstrate their teaching aids and teaching models was conducted on 10 th January,   2014.   The event was inaugurated by Prof. Mallika Krishnaswami, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. The Dean addressed the student teachers with an inspiring talk. CHRIST University Collaborates with Freethought for Kannada LLM Development

On 12 August 2024, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) signed an MOU with Freethought Foundation and Freethought Labs (OPC) Pvt Ltd for Phase I towards developing a high-quality large language model (LLM) in Kannada. This project will be hosted by the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Languages as a contribution to Karnataka and Kannada. The outcomes of the project will be Free and Open Source (FOSS) to encourage innovation and collaboration.
