REPORT ON INAUGURATION OF LIFE SCIENCE ASSOCIATION – 2020 HELD ON 29TH AUGUST 2020

 The inaugural ceremony of the Life Science Association for the year 2020 - 2021 was conducted virtually on the Cisco WebEx platform on 29th August at 5:00 PM. The event commenced with a welcome address by Host - Bhadrapriya Sivakumar (1MSc. Biotechnology). It was followed by an invocation prayer-song by Nachiketh Rao (1MSc. Biotechnology). Prof. Manjunath B. T addressed the event with a talk on the Department of Life Sciences.

This was followed by the induction of the new cadre of Office-Bearers to the Association by the Life-Science Association Coordinator - Dr. Anish Nag as follows:

General Secretary: Rohan R. Krishnan (1MSc. Botany)

Associate Secretary - PG Council: Bhadrapriya Sivakumar (1MSc. Biotechnology)

Associate Secretary - UG Council: Suhas L S (5BSc. CBZ)

Dr. Anish Nag later introduced the guest of honor and keynote speaker - Mr. Parag Kumthekar, Scientist III - Purification Sciences of CuraTeQ Biologics Pvt. Ltd. (A wholly-owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma). The keynote speaker addressed the event on the topic “Biologics Drug Development: From Designing to Market Approval.”

The keynote address was succeeded by a questionnaire session moderated by Suhas L S (5BSc. CBZ). The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the General-Secretary of the Association Rohan R Krishnan (1MSc Botany).

Electronics Project Exhibition Report 2025 organised by Department of Physics and Electronics

The department of Physics and Electronics organized its annual Electronics Project exhibition on 5 March 2025, at Bangalore Central Campus. The project exhibition was organized by the final year B.Sc. PME and CME students under the guidance of the faculty members of the department. This exhibition was conducted as an experiential learning method for the students to help them with their skill development through hands on activity. This is to bring out some creative, innovative ideas in the field of electronics design, IoT systems from the students that can make them ready for employment as well as create future entrepreneurs. This exhibition was also a part of SDG week celebrations of the University.
