Christ University and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak Forge New Academic Partnership

Christ University, Bangalore and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in Sarawak, Malaysia, have recently entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote academic collaboration. This MOU, signed by both esteemed institutions, aims to enhance research, consultancy, and educational excellence through various cooperative initiatives.

Under this agreement, Christ University and UNIMAS will engage in student and staff exchanges, collaborative research projects, professional development training, and joint workshops and conferences. The MOU also includes provisions for internships, practical training, and the co-supervision of graduate studies. These initiatives are designed to foster mutual understanding and academic growth, benefiting both faculty and students.

The MoU ensures that all collaborations will be governed by each country's respective national laws, regulations, and policies. Financial obligations are clearly outlined, with each institution bearing its own costs. Additionally, the MOU emphasises protecting intellectual property rights, ensuring a respectful partnership.

This MOU is entered into with the provision of renewal, marking a promising step towards strengthened academic ties and shared educational success between Christ University and UNIMAS.

Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future.   The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Two buses were utilized to transport the students to the Christ University Kengeri campus which was the venue of the Sports Day. All required arrangements were made there. The event that has given the opportunity to the teacher trainees to display and demonstrate their teaching aids and teaching models was conducted on 10 th January,   2014.   The event was inaugurated by Prof. Mallika Krishnaswami, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. The Dean addressed the student teachers with an inspiring talk. A Report on One Day Exhibition, Workshop and Lecture on Numismatics

Department of History and   Kannada,Christ University in collaboration with Karnataka Numismatics Society , Bangalore organized a one day   exhibition, workshop and lecture on numismatics” on 12 July,2014 in Gourmet extension and Assembly Hall ,Block -2 from 9 am to 3pm. The programme was divided into two slots, exhibition and lecture session. The programme began with an   inauguration of the exhibition in gourmet basement at 9.30 by Mahesh Jambulingam , President , Karnataka Numismatic Society and Dr.John Joseph Kennedy, Dean, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University.
