REPORT ON FOREIGN FACULTY INTERACTION WIH DEPARTMENT OF LIFE SCIENCES ON MARCH 1, 2019

The department of Life sciences had organized an interactive session with foreign faculty from UK on March 1, 2019. The participants from the foreign Universities included Dr Lynda Partridge, Fellow of Royal Society of Biology, University of Sheffield, UK and Dr Pattanathu Rahman, Fellow of Royal Society of Arts, University of Portsmouth, UK.  The event was done in collaboration with British Council. Thefaculty in charge was Dr Sayantan from CHRIST. Ms Miriam Ebenezer, Sr Manager, South India British Council, Chennai also participated in the discussion. The meeting was attended by Dr Anish, Dr Praveen, Dr Mridul, Dr Venkat, Dr Alok, Dr Biljo, Dr Paari, Dr Manikantan, Dr Sayantan from the Department of Life Sciences The meeting mainly focused on the possibilities of collaboration between the institutions which the delegates belonged to and CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. The delegates also informed the faculty members about the MSc programmes in their University. Ms Miriam informed the faculty members about the role of British Council to facilitate the collaboration. The delegates also had a discussion with Fr Jobi Xavier, HOD, Life Sciences.
