A Report on Industry Visit to CSIR-NAL

The Department of Physics and Electronics always believes in providing the necessary practical skills to the students along with theoretical knowledge of electronics and to fulfill this objective, the department organizes various programs and activities for the students through its Electronics Club, association of electronics students. The industry visit also aims at giving an exposure of the industrial environment with latest equipments and newest technologies in use to the students. 
The department had organized an industry visit for the VI semester B.Sc. CME students to CSIR-NAL on 25 February 2019. A total of 53 students from the VI Sem CME class with two teachers visited CSIR-NAL campus situated on HAL Airport Road, Bengaluru.

The entire visit was guided by Mr. Somanarayanan, Principal Technical officer, KTMD, CSIR-NAL. He gave brief information on the research and development activities of NAL. He took the visiting team to CSMST Wind farm in the same campus and explained the technical details of wind-solar hybrid systems. The team was then taken out to another place, Belur campus situated at about 5km from the NAL main campus. He took the team to Trisonic Wind tunnel area, Acoustic Test facility and described the functioning of each with applications.



It was a fruitful visit to the prestigious R&D organization and Electronics Club wishes to sincerely thank the CHRIST (Deemed to be University) management and the department for providing this opportunity for the students that motivates and enables them to go for higher studies and research in renewable energy sector.
