Fostering Ethical Advertising: CHRIST University and ASCI Forge Strategic Partnership

On 22nd April 2024, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) formalised a collaborative partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement signifies a mutual commitment to promoting honest and ethical advertising, focusing on education, training, and research.

The partnership will leverage ASCI's expertise through its integral ASCI Academy to enhance awareness about advertising ethics among students, faculty, industry professionals, and consumers. Key initiatives include developing specialised programs, faculty development workshops, and student awareness campaigns. The MoU outlines a framework for collaborative research projects to explore new areas of advertising responsibility and consumer protection.

CHRIST (Deemed to be University) will facilitate these efforts by appointing a dedicated faculty coordinator and providing venues for annual training sessions. The university will also ensure active student and faculty participation in various online and offline programs. Additionally, both parties will use their channels, including social media and newsletters, to promote the collaborative activities.

This MoU is set for an initial term of three years, with provisions for extension, reflecting a long-term commitment to fostering ethical advertising practices through comprehensive education and collaborative efforts.
