PCB Design and Fabrication Workshop - Department of Electronics

Electronics Club had organized a Workshop on PCB Design and Fabrication for Second Year students (PME and CME) on 6th December in association with SP laboratory, Bangalore in Electronics lab, Block I, Christ University. 

Mr. Johnson.OV, faculty in charge introduced the team members of SP Laboratory to students and briefed about the workshop. Mr. Sukant Kumar Behera, Director, S.P Lab and his team members practically demonstrated various steps involved in PCB etching technology. They distributed all the necessary materials, chemicals and electronic components to the students required to design a PCB and to complete a basic Hobby Project. 

There were fifteen students from IV semester CME class and twenty five students from IV semester PME class participating in the workshop and they all designed and constructed a Light Detector Circuit on PCB. Students enjoyed and appreciated the programme. All the faculty members from the department were also present during the workshop.

Course Coordinator distributed certificates to all the participants.

Report on Annual Sports Day 2013 School of Education organized a one day Sports day for its students of B.Ed and MA Education on the 16 th of February 2013. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future.   The day was scheduled to begin at 7:30am at the Christ University campus, where the students assembled near the auditorium block. Two buses were utilized to transport the students to the Christ University Kengeri campus which was the venue of the Sports Day. All required arrangements were made there. REPORT ON DISPLAY OF TEACHING AIDS - SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

The event that has given the opportunity to the teacher trainees to display and demonstrate their teaching aids and teaching models was conducted on 10 th January,   2014.   The event was inaugurated by Prof. Mallika Krishnaswami, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University. The Dean addressed the student teachers with an inspiring talk. Ma’m spoke about the way the School of Education showcases their creativity, talent which is inspiring year after year.   Every year, teaching becomes more challenging with the students becoming more restless and energetic.   So, it is quite a bit challenging for the teaching fraternity to grab their attention.   With technology growing exponentially and information being easily accessible for the students, dependency on class room teaching is reducing.   But the emotional connection between teachers and students cannot be replaced with technology.   With teachers being committed and profession...

A Report on One Day Exhibition, Workshop and Lecture on Numismatics

Department of History and   Kannada,Christ University in collaboration with Karnataka Numismatics Society , Bangalore organized a one day   exhibition, workshop and lecture on numismatics” on 12 July,2014 in Gourmet extension and Assembly Hall ,Block -2 from 9 am to 3pm. The programme was divided into two slots, exhibition and lecture session. The programme began with an   inauguration of the exhibition in gourmet basement at 9.30 by Mahesh Jambulingam , President , Karnataka Numismatic Society and Dr.John Joseph Kennedy, Dean, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Christ University.
