student volunteers from the department.
The delegation was first allowed to
interact with the members of the community, and this was followed by a tour of
the facility. The faculty members and students visited a candle making unit,
one of the many units where the residents of Summanahalli worked to prepare
products that would be sold for their welfare.
After spending a few more
minutes interacting with the residents, the delegation then proceeded to serve
them with lunch purchased from the donations of the students and faculty of the
CSE/IT department.
The residents seemed to enjoy the company of the faculty and students, and was pleased by their visit.
